Contrary to a billion expectations, the first T20I turned out to be a nightmare for India as Sri Lanka dominated the hosts at Pune. Chasing 102 to win was never going to be difficult, and that is what exactly happened as the visitors strolled their way towards victory. The Indians did strike early as Ashish Nehra got two quick wickets. However, a couple of dropped chances and missed run outs meant that there was no further serious damage to Sri Lanka’s chances.
