MS Dhoni’s eldest brother Narendra Singh Dhoni has always been a mystery character in the life of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. There was an age gap between the former skipper and Narendra Dhoni, which never made them gel well together despite having mutual respect. He was not even the part of MS Dhoni’s biopic as well.
The unknown fact about Narendra Singh is that he was the cricket player when MS Dhoni was a kid, who doesn’t even that his eldest brother would play the game. However, by the time, Dhoni started schooling, N Dhoni turned into a football player.
MS Dhoni was very young when I played Cricket:
Speaking of the same, the elder brother quoted that he is a cricketer-turned-footballer while his brother Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a footballer-turned cricketer. Further, he went on to add saying that MS Dhoni’s contribution in the finals of the ICC World Cup 2007 and 2011 is massive.

“Perhaps Mahi, who was very young at that time, does not know about my cricket. Later, I played for the school team as a football goalkeeper in several national-level events but followed international cricket keenly.”
He picked two key points, which helped the Indian National Cricket Team win the trophy. The first one was to put Sreesanth at the right position in the fine-leg region while in the second world cup, which is 2011, Dhoni, himself coming ahead of the in-form Yuvraj Singh.

“For me, Mahi’s contribution in the two finals is the biggest — as a captain, in placing a fielder at short fine-leg to take Pakistan’s last wicket in the final, in 2007 (World T20) and as a batsman, coming up the order in the final, in 2011 (ICC World Cup). This time, his role is different but very important,” says Narendra as per Sportstar.
Well, as N Dhoni said, the presence of MSD has always been a great thing for the Indian National Cricket Team. He is going to be the major booster for the team in the upcoming edition of ICC World Cup 2019, especially, for Virat Kohli, who will lead the side with a heavy burden on his shoulders.
