One of those tragic incidents took place in the International Cricket, as the Pakistan batsman, Asif Ali lost his 2-year daughter due to Cancer. The right-handed explosive batsman will travel back to home in order to perform the last rights of his daughter, Noor Fatima.
Islamabad United, Ali’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) team sent out a tweet on May 19 condoling the death: ‘ISLU family pays its deepest condolences to @AasifAli2018 on the tragic loss of his daughter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Asif & his family. Asif is a great example of strength & courage. He is an inspiration to us.’
Asif Ali’s daughter battled with Level IV cancer:
Ali had earlier informed his fans about his daughter’s condition by posting on Twitter. His tweet read “My daughter is fighting the stage IV cancer and we are taking her to the US for her treatment. A big shout out to @usembislamabad and @USCGLahore for issuing the visa to us within an hour. Special thanks to Mike, Elizabeth, Tanveer & @TalhaAisham Bhai. Keep my princess in your Duas!”

Asif’s daughter was battling a stage IV cancer and the cricketer had earlier tweeted out to his fans urging for prayers for her. He was in the playing XI for Pakistan in their final 5th ODI of the ongoing series against England on Sunday and scored 22 runs off 17 balls as his side lost the game by 54 runs.

Ali played all four games against England after the first ODI was washed away due to rain. He scored 142 runs in four innings at an average of 35.50. However, the hard-hitting batsman couldn’t help his team escape humiliation of suffering a clean sweep.

Asif has so far played 16 ODIs for Pakistan amassing 342 runs at an average of 31.09. He has a slight chance of making it to the final 15-man squad for World Cup as the teams have to submit their final squad by May 23.
