With teams working hard ahead of the ODI showpiece, the cricket pundits have been busy gauging the teams. Whereas, many come up with their view that they’re bound to witness some upsets during the twelfth edition of the quadrennial event. In between, former England skipper Michael Vaughan has named his dream XI of the ICC World Cup 2019 which includes a surprise pick or so.

Meanwhile, at the top, the 44-year-old Vaughan has named Team India skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma. The duo has done exceedingly well for the Men in Blue.

Besides, the World Cup will begin at Kennington Oval from May 30. In the ten-team tourney, each team is scheduled to face-off each other once.

Earlier, he maintained hosts Three Lions have an excellent opportunity to lift their maiden title.

He has picked David Warner as Rohit’s opening partner. The southpaw has been in an ominous form which is a great sign for Australia ahead of the World Cup.

The prominent batsman Vaughan has picked Pakistan batsman Babar Azam alongside Jos Buttler. However, surprisingly he has named Buttler as a wicketkeeper with MS Dhoni missing the spot in his combine XI.

Moreover, Vaughan has backed Durham-based all-rounder Ben Stokes as an all-rounder who could raise many eyebrows.

On the spin front, Vaughan has named two leg-spinners which included Englan’s Adil Rashid and Pakistan’s Shadab Khan.

However, he has named No.1 spinning prodigy Rashid Khan as the twelfth man in his combined dream World Cup team.

Also, on the fast bowling front, Vaughan has picked an ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah followed by Kiwis Trent Boult and Australia’s Pat Cummins.

“The best white ball bowler in the world, quality at the start and outstanding at the death. Probably the best yorker bowler in world cricket as we speak,” Vaughan said on Bumrah.

In his best-combined XI of the tournament, Vaughan has named Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as the twelfth man.

Here’s Michael Vaughan’s best-combined playing XI at the 2019 World Cup:

Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Jos Butler, Ben Stokes, Shadab Khan, Pat Cummins, Adil Rashid, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and 12th man as Rashid Khan
