The Premier League has gotten into its final third and the points table has taken shape and with the top 4 teams going head to head in two games, this week of the Premier League may prove to be a game changer come the end of the season. From Leicester’s trip to the Emirates to the mid-table battle between Palace and Watford, there are a lot of close games all around the country.
Here are the predictions for the 26th round of the Premier League fixtures:
1. Sunderland vs Manchester United:
The Black Cats have shown some resilience in the last two games at the Etihad and the Anfield and will hope that their home crowd can help take something from Manchester United who themselves have found some form. This game will be close than depicted by the positions of the team in the points table.
Our Prediction: Sunderland 0-0 Manchester United
2. Swansea City vs Southampton:
The Saints have found some great form off late and will be hoping to continue their good run against Swansea City this weekend. The Swans need some positive results to keep themselves safe but this game against Southampton will not be easy for them.
Our Prediction: Swansea City 1-3 Southampton
3. AFC Bournemouth vs Stoke City:
Both clubs have played some good football at the start of the season but that start has faded away and with both teams in need of some positive results, this game is very difficult to call. Eddie Howe’s side might just be the favorites playing at home.
Our Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Stoke City
4. Crystal Palace vs Watford City:
In the definition of a mid-table battle, Palace welcome Watford this weekend in a game that can easily produce an interesting result and has the potential to go down to the wire till the final whistle.
Our Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-2 Watford City
5. Everton vs West Bromwich Albion:
The Baggies have not found it easy in the last few games and have fallen into the second half of the Premier League table. They will face a tough task against a rampant Everton side who are now finding the consistency that was lacking at the start of the seasom.
Our Prediction: Everton 2-0 WBA
6. Norwich City vs West Ham United:
The Canaries have not been in the best of the forms off late and find themselves in the relegation zone going into the game against 6th placed West Ham. However, Carrow Road is not an easy place to visit as the Hammers might find this trip harder than they might think.
Our Prediction: Norwich 1-1 West Ham
7. Chelsea vs Newcastle United:
The Magpies are just a point from safety and will travel to the Stamford Bridge against a Chelsea side that are improving under Guus Hiddink. The Blues should not find it too difficult to take all three points from this fixture but stranger things have happened in football.
Our Prediction: Chelsea 3-1 Newcastle United
8. Arsenal vs Leicester City:
In one of the games of the season, Arsenal one of the two sides to beat Leicester City this week will welcome the Foxes to the Emirates this weekend. They will surely start favorites do the double over the top of the table side but Leicester, fresh from taking 6 points from Anfield and the Etihad will try and do their best to knock the Gunners off their cosh.
Our Prediction: Arsenal 3-3 Leicester City
9. Aston Villa vs Liverpool:
Klopp, who is slowly getting back players from injury will hope to field a strong squad against Aston Villa but will be wary of the Europa league fixture in the midweek. Remi Garde’s side will have to take advantage of the leaky defense of the Reds else it could turn out to be a long night for the home team.
Our Prediction: Aston Villa 0-3 Liverpool
10. Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur:
The Spurs who are placed in the second spot going into this fixture have been one of the most consistent sides in recent times. However, a trip to Etihad will never be easy and they will go into this game as the under dogs to beat the Citizens in their back yard.
Our Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur
