Cricket fans are thrumming up with excitement as the mega-event rounds up the corner. And the official broadcaster of the event, Star Sports is making sure to set a tone to the World Cup. They have featured none other than MS Dhoni in their next video who hilariously makes the cricket fan do sit-ups.
A few weeks ago, the largest broadcasters of the game launched the World Cup Campaign- #Cricketkafan. They started with India challenging Pakistan while in the next one they mocked England and South Africa for not winning a single title yet. The advertisements released portray World Cup title as the ‘Cricket ka Crown’. Every ten of the participating team has their eyes on winning the title. The advertisements focus on the one Indian Fan- Vicky who starts the fun banter by singing ‘Crown Cricket Ka Madamji Hum Le Jaayenge’ in front of the crowd.
The 12th edition of the ICC Men’s World Cup will see ten teams facing off each other in the round-robin format.

In the third video released by Star Sports, the advertisement features Indian wicketkeeper, MS Dhoni. Dhoni is seen making Vicky do sit-ups for adding pressure on India by singing ‘Crown Cricket Ka Hum Le Jaayenge’. The former Indian skipper mocks him until Vicky’s phone started buzzing with the same song. This instantly changes Dhoni’s mood and he lets Vicky merrily dance to the song before letting him know that India will do everything to win the title.

With a balanced team of bowlers, batsmen and all-rounders, India enters the showpiece event as favourites. However, the Virat Kohli-led team suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the warm-up clash. It was a wake-up call for the team and will be looking forward to redeeming the loss in next practice match against Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the last match of Bangladesh against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain. India will take on South Africa on June 5 at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground.
