Ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019, it’s interesting to see footballers showing a keen interest in cricket. After England’s Harry Kane posing a selfie with Team India skipper Virat Kohli, the Brazilian footballer David Luiz, who represents Premier League club – Chelsea, has a heartwarming message for Virat Kohli’s Team India ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.

The mega ICC event will commence on May 30 when hosts England will lock horns with South Africa in London.

Recently, Abhishek Bachchan has trolled Kohli for his selfie with Kane, who represents Tottenham Hotspur. Interestingly, Kohli is an ardent fan of Real Madrid.

In 2014, Kohli had received a coveted jersey from Chelsea football club when he arrived at the Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old Luiz, who has the potential to work out as the defensive midfielder, has traditionally made his name as a centre back.

Luiz, who dons jersey number 30, has wished all the best to Team India for their impending World Cup campaign in England and Wale.  The ace footballer has also thrown unconditional support behind the Men in Blue.

Well, India is eyeing their third World Cup after a successful campaign in 1983 and 2011 respectively.

“Hello, Virat Kohli — Good luck for the World Cup bro… God bless you a lot you and your team. I am gonna support you and your team. Okay, see you soon,” the footballer maintained in his nine-second video message.

Meanwhile, the marquee event will get underway with England vs South Africa game on Thursday (May 30) in London. However, India will begin their World Cup with their first game against the Proteas on June 5 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Furthermore, Kohli has carved out a niche owing to his batting genius. The 30-year-old star batsman has been consistent for his team, and he has emerged as a remarkable player when it comes to chasing the targets.

Consequently, Kohli has a massive responsibility on his shoulders. Kohli’s representing India as a captain for the first time at the ICC World Cup.

With top-order fixed, but it’s interestingly to see who will feature at the number four spot. Over the years, the position has been a huge cause of concern for the Men in Blue.
