After an unsuccessful season of defending the championship, Chelsea have a lot of work to do in the summer transfer window to get back into the mix of the things at the top of the table.

However, they will face a problem of keeping their star players for the next season without Champions League football and it seems that is the case at least for Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard.

Chelsea face Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League round of 16 and the Belgian said that it would not be easy to turn down an offer from the French outfit in the summer.

These statements now ignite the rumors of his move to PSG that were all over the papers last summer.

Having signed from Lille for around 32 million, Eden Hazard helped Chelsea to a league title last season but his performances this season have fallen way below par and a move away from London seems to be the right way for the 25-year old.

Winning Champions League might be the best way for Chelsea to keep hold of their star player as it would give them an entry into the elite competition next season but a clash against one of the favorites to win the cup in the round of 16 might not be easy for the Blues.

The 25-year-old told Le Parisien: “[It is] difficult to say no to PSG, or to any of the teams capable of winning the Champions League.”

“PSG are now in that category. And for me, winning the Champions League is my main aim.”

The Belgian however retracted his comments by pointing out that his contract with the club expires in 2020, but the timing of his statement will surely fuel the rumors of his move away from the club.

“For the moment, I’m not really thinking about [a move],” Hazard added.

PSG however might have to battle it out with Spanish giants Real Madrid who are also keen on brining the 25-year old to the Bernabeau after the end of the season.

Hazard scored his first goal of the season against MK Dons in the FA Cup last month and at the moment, his story seems to be one of the those transfer sagas that might go right until the deadline day.
