AB de Villiers and Brendon McCullum, the Bazz, have taken the batting at its creative best. Now, on the eve of cricket’s one of the most creative batsman Brendon McCullum retirement from international cricket the best ever compliment has come from the AB de Villiers, the God of belligerent batting, compared him with Tennis great Roger Federer, who is famous for his beautiful playing style.

“One thing I admire the most is the fact that, off the field, he is a fantastic human being, a really good friend of mine and that is something I will always respect.”

“I can think of someone like a Roger Federer, who’s someone else to have achieved that throughout his career,” De Villiers said.

De Villiers, who got fans from every nook and corner of cricket loving countries for his unusual batting style, revealed his love for McCullum’s batting, “I truly love the way he plays the game. He plays with a lot of passion, pride and energy. It’s difficult to do that consistently.”

For the best part of the last couple of years South African captain AB de Villiers has been a darling of cricket fans for his gallant and belligerent innings which have the ability to decimate any renowned bowler.

When AB was asked about the Bazz’s retirement he got emotional and revealed his fleeings the Black Cap captain.

As the preparations for McCullum goodbye Test against Australia in Christchurch ramp up, the air in the Christchurch is full of the excitement. Probably the felling is also same in other countries as McCullum got fans from every country for his aggressive brand of batting.

De Villiers said that he love the aggressive brand of cricket McCullum instilled in New Zealand team.

“I truly love the way he plays the game. He plays with a lot of passion, pride and energy. It’s difficult to do that consistently.

“Maintaining that consistency, that passion, that pride and energy… Brendon has definitely achieved that,” De Villiers stated.
