One of the most prolific strikers in world football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had a stellar career in France for the Paris Saint Germain franchise over the last few years. But the big Swede is out of a contract after the end of the season and it is understood that he is ready to move to the Premier League in his last adventure.

Ibrahimovic discussed his move to the England saying that he was ‘in shape’ for the move and it is reported that Manchester United are keen on brining him to Old Trafford. Express Sport understands Mourinho, 53, has already been offered a £15.5 million-a-season deal to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

United are linked with a move for Jose Mourinho after the end of the season as a replacement for Louis van Gaal and the Mirror reported that Ibra’s desire to play under the Portuguese might just help the Old Trafford franchise lure him to their club.

And it is now understood that Ibrahimovic is ready for one last dash in a competitive league and that Manchester Untied are ready to offer him a bumper deal to secure his services for the whole season.

However, Ibra will not stay at the club for more than a season as it was reported that he has agreed to be a part of the Orlando team in the MLS on his way to becoming the first star signing for David Beckham in his life in the US.

Though PSG’s owners are ready to invest large amounts in the club after its recent success and want the 34-year old to stay at the club till 2018, Ibrahimovic seems keen on a move away from the club.

This deal makes a lot of sense financially and practically for the Old Trafford franchise who are lacking that bit extra in front of goal. Even if it is for a brief period, Ibrahimovic can lift the club and take them to where they belong.

The striker’s name was sold on an average 385,000 shirts this sesaon between 2010 and 2015 – the ninth-most sold in the world. United recently recored revenues of £395.2m for the 2014/15 season.

And that is already expected to rise far above the £400m mark when English football’s new £5.1billion Premier League TV deal kicks in next term.

So a move for the Swede looks like a very good business and signing him for just an year will be a perfect financial decision for the club as it is just short term.

It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds in the summer.
