Yuvraj Singh is one of the greatest players to play for India in their illustrious cricket history. The southpaw did everything in white ball cricket. Probably there are no one in world cricket, who so many highs and lows in their cricketing career.
Days after winning Man of the tournament award in 2011 world cup, Yuvi was diagnosed with cancer. He had to fight hard to overcome the deadly disease as he went through painful treatment for months.
However, he made the impossible and came back into the national team again. Although, he did not had the old swagger, Yuvraj Singh had shown glimpses of his brilliant best in the past few years. But things got rough for the special player in the last couple of years.

He was used more of a squad player in IPL as well this season. At the end, Yuvraj Singh decided to call it a day after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket. The news brought lot of emotions in Indian fans.

Announcing his retirement, Yuvraj gave an emotional speech at the press conference. He said, “My career started in 2000 and it has been 19 years. I was confused with my career and how I would end it.
“I would have been satisfied if I could have played more games in IPL 2019 would have been happy to leave the sport with that. But you don’t get everything in life. I had decided last year that this IPL would be my last and I’ll give it my best show.”

Even though, Yuvraj Singh had some tough years in the recent times, he is still remembered for his glorious years. The legendary cricket had won a place in fans’ hearts for risking his life to earn a world cup for India.
On the other hand, the cricketing world were completely saddened by the retirement. Although, it looked inevitable, fans still needs some time to overcome this. He is remembered for his role in 2007, 2011 triumphs. Also, his six sixes against Stuart Broad is another major peak moment in his 19 year cricket career.
