A remarkable cricketing career came to an end when Yuvraj Singh brought the curtain down on his international career on Monday. Meanwhile, the world cricketers across the world sent their best wishes to the stylish southpaw. In between, despite being the rivals, Pakistan cricketers took time to wish a happy retirement for Yuvraj Singh.
There were many ups and downs during his international career which spanned 17 years. Yuvraj took 148 international wickets and scored 11,778 runs in 404 matches in which he represented India.
Yuvraj Singh played for 17 years:
The left-handed batsman was a crucial part of the Indian unit which won the 2007 T20I World Cup and had been reported to be seriously contemplating retirement from international cricket to pursue a career in ICC approved foreign Twenty20 leagues.

During 2011 World Cup, he was the player of the tournament as India go on to lift the 2011 cricket World Cup held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Yuvraj scored more than 300 runs and took 15 wickets in the quadrennial event. Won four man-of-the-match awards during the course of the tournament.
Yuvraj gave several memorable moments to cherish for a lifetime to cricket fans across the globe. His record of six consecutive 6s against Stuart Broad in World Twenty20 will go down as one of the finest cricketing moments ever. As a result of those six 6s, Yuvraj scored the fastest century in T20Is – off just 12 balls – a record which is yet to be broken.
Yuvraj Singh also had a brilliant record against Pakistan. Despite playing a few Test matches for the country, his best knocks came against Pakistan Cricket Team. The flamboyant batsman also shares a nice bond with a few of the Pakistan cricketers.
Meanwhile, players like Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Wahab Riaz, Ahmad Shahzad were some of the first few cricketers from Pakistan to congratulate Yuvraj.
