Although in a losing scenario, the aggressive southpaw has damaged a roof of the Sir Ian Botham Stand following a massive 89-metre six on the bowling of Mehidy Hasan.

During his innings, southpaw walloped Hasan as the ball sailed over the long off region which could have easily gone into the river. However, the ball has damaged a roof tile as it landed into one of the stands after a couple of bounces on a damaged County Cricket ground’s roof.

The incident happened in the 30th over of Windies’ innings when they were going strong with Shai Hope playing a cautious knock.

The incident happened in the 30th over of Windies’ innings when the 21-year-old Khulna-born right-arm off-spinner bowled a second delivery of the particular over.

Pooran, who looked in a pursuit to change a gear struck the ball hard only to leave a hole in a roof tile.

Hasan, who gave a bit of air to the air was enough for Pooran to go downtown for a maximum.

Earlier, on Monday, Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and asked Jason Holder-led side to bat first.

Following the fifties from Evin Lewis, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer, Windies went on to post 321 for eight in 50 overs.

Furthermore, Hetmyer’s 26-ball 50 has boosted Caribbeans at the fag end of their innings.

In response, Bangladesh openers gave a resounding start to them with quickfire 52 in 8.2 overs. However, in the clinical run-chase all-rounder, Shakib has played a remarkable role by slamming unbeaten 124 runs.

On the other side, Liton Das played a breezy knock while facing just 69 deliveries for his 94 runs. His innings included eight fours and four sixes.

The Tigers overhauled the target in 41.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Thus, Shakib has bagged Man of the Match award for his all-round show. The world’s no. 1 all-rounder has bagged two crucial wickets of Lewis and Pooran to dent Windies.
