Pakistan team is currently under the pump for their poor display of cricketing skills. They have been outsmarted in most of their games so far, which saw them standing at the bottom half of the table. Meanwhile, the former Pakistan player Shoaib Akhtar comes up with a surprising statement.
So far, it has been a poor campaign for the Pakistan team. They started the tournament on a poor note by losing against Windies but made a tremendous comeback by winning against England team.
But, that was the only win under their belt so far. They had a rain washout and lost to the Indian National Cricket Team, which brought a lot of criticism. Further, the composition of the team hasn’t been that suitable to the conditions and the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed wasn’t up to the mark as well.

Shoaib Akhtar has his say:
Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar, who has been following the tournament closely, predicted that around seven players of the current team will no longer sustain in the team after the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019.
Speaking in his own youtube channel, Shoaib Akhtar quoted that there are only 10 cricketers, who played for a long time following the win in 1999. In contrast, Akhtar feels that there are quite a few players, who need to work really hard in order to be back in the Pakistan team.

“After the 1999 World Cup, 10 players played for the next 10 years for Pakistan. In contrast, there are seven players in this World Cup squad who will be out of this side soon,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.
In addition to that, they are suffering from team bond issues. Recently, reports surfaced that Sarfaraz Ahmed allegedly lost his cool in the dressing room and accused some players including Imad Wasim and Imam-ul-Haq, of forming a group against him and not supporting him.
