After adding 121 runs for the first wickets, the skipper asked Soumya Sarkar to bowl a few overs, which he did exceptionally well. He got the wicket of Aaron Finch for the team, which stopped the flow of the runs for a brief period.

However, Usman Khawaja looked in a decent touch for this clash, who rotated the strike to David Warner at will. On the other hand, the well-set David Warner smashed yet another hundred to his name in the tournament. He followed it up by adding 66 runs to his total.

Once again, it was Soumya Sarkar, who delivered the goods by removing David Warner in the middle. It was followed by the disaster run out of Glenn Maxwell. Before being dismissed, Maxwell entertained fans with his blistering striking.

Later, it was against Soumya Sarkar, who dismissed Usman Khawaja to bring up his best bowling figures. However, Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey batted till the 49 overs before rain making its way.
