England women’s cricketer Kate Cross has squandered a massive run-out chance at the non-striker’s end against Windies’ women’s team. So far, the Lancashire medium pacer has represented England women’s team in nine T20Is – to bag as many scalps. Kate, who went wicketless in the second ODI, has further gone expensive.
So much so, the 27-year-old medium pacer has also conceded 30 runs off 18 deliveries in a Twenty20 International.
The Nottingham T20I had witnessed a hilarious moment when Cross had a brain fade by failing to effect an easiest of the run-outs. Even though England women’s lead the T20I series following a washed out T20I opener, Kate’s latest video has left many in splits.
England women’s team led by Heather Knight, on Saturday (June 22) has overall put up a splendid show.

Interestingly, Kate, who couldn’t complete a quota of four overs and was the only one who failed to pick a wicket.
The incident unfolded when Kate was bowling before Windies’s batter guided a ball towards the cover region.
However, the fielder quickly reacted and threw the ball in at Kate who collected the ball well behind the stumps at non-striker’s end. But, Kate had experienced a brain explosion when she in spite of taking off the bails, hurled the ball at striker’s end where batswoman has dived fully to make it to the crease. This Kate has missed a simple chance to dismiss a batter.
The batswoman was not even in a frame eventually handed a golden chance for Windies’ batter to continue her batting.
Batting first, England women post 180 in 20 allotted overs. The prominent batter Danielle Wyatt has scored a whirlwind knock off 55-ball 81 with the help of 10 fours. Besides, Knight and Natalie Sciver went on to play crucial cameos. The duo helped England to rack up a mammoth total on the board for England.
In response, Windies managed just 138 in 20 overs despite some promise from Stacy-Ann King, who scored 43. Katherine Brunt and Linsey Smith picked two wickets apiece – to dent Caribbean women’s team.
