Once again, it was MS Dhoni, who is on the receiving end following the conclusion of India’s game. Yesterday, the Ex-skipper of India Mahendra Singh Dhoni has failed to show an intent during the end overs even when the game demanded a free-flowing batsman for the victory. Meanwhile, in the commentary section, Sourav Ganguly and Nasser Hussain baffled with the batting style of MS Dhoni.
When India needed 71 runs off 31 balls, especially, with Hardik Pandya going back to the pavilion, one would have expected MS Dhoni to take the charge in the middle. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, as he never showed any positive intent in winning the game for the team.
Despite losing KL Rahul early, Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli kept the Indian chase on track as the pair added 128 runs for the second wicket. Rohit also scored his third century of the tournament but after his dismissal, the hopes of India winning the contest were diminished.

MS Dhoni scored 42 runs off 31 balls:
A late blitz by Hardik Pandya meant that India was still on course but the all-rounder was removed by Liam Plunkett in the 45th over.
With 71 still required to win in the final five overs, all eyes were on Dhoni. However, the wicketkeeper-batsman, along with Kedar Jadhav, struggled and were only able to fetch 39 in the final 31 balls, which included 20 singles and seven dot deliveries.

Meanwhile, in the commentary section, Nasser Hussain quoted that he was baffled to see MS Dhoni’s approach to the game. Further, asked Sourav Ganguly to give his explanation on that regard.
“I am completely baffled,” Nasser Hussain said before adding: “It’s over to you to explain what is happening.”
You can’t lose chasing a game with 5 wickets in hand – Sourav Ganguly
In reply, Sourav Ganguly didn’t criticise MS Dhoni in a direct manner but he is really unhappy with the way MS Dhoni has approached the game. He quoted that the team must not lose a game with 5 wickets in the hand while chasing a big tally.

“The team has to make a decision whether they are just happy not getting out or are looking to win. The message has to go out that they should keep attempting big shots even if they get out. You can’t have a team losing in a chase with 5 wickets in hand,” he said.
Indian fans would like to see MS Dhoni scoring – Nasser Hussain
During the conversation between Nasser Hussain and Sourav Ganguly, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni once again tapped the ball for a single, which left the stylish southpaw to admit his loss in finding words to put an explanation.
“I have no explanation for this. You asked me to explain what is happening, I can’t,” Sourav Ganguly said.
Sourav Ganguly:
I dont have any explanation for that single…Nasir Hussain:
Indian fans are leaving!

In reply, Hussain said: “There are so many Indian fans here, they are leaving now. Surely Indian fans will want to see Dhoni have a go.”
Well, of late, the Indian batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s batting technique has come under the scanner. The questions are being raised on his batting approach, especially, when the team is chasing over 300 on the board.
