Well, it seems like New Zealanders would be the happiest persons in the world at the moment. They have almost confirmed to play the semifinals of the tournament, as Pakistan failed to post a required total on the board. Imam Ul Haq and Babar Azam were the chief contributors in the first innings.
Initially, as Pakistan wanted, they won the toss and chose to bat first. They got a solid start before Fakhar Zaman finding Mehidy Hasan at Point. However, Imam Ul Haw and Babar Azam took the charge on their shoulders, as they thrashed Bangladesh to all corners of the park.
Imam Ul Haq Scored 100:
The duo took the challenge to Bangladesh, as they never looked in trouble during their partnership. In particular, Babar Azam has been fantastic, who found boundaries more often than not for the team. In between, Imam Ul Haq was slow and steady at the crease.

Unfortunately, Babar Azam failed to get his century, as he was dismissed on 96 runs when he was trapped LBW by Shaifuddin. On the other handed Imam Ul Haq batted brilliantly to get his century.
Just when he thought of taking on Bangladesh, in a most unfortunate way, walked back to the pavilion, by hitting the stumps with his leg while knocking Mustafizur Rahman to on-side. Then came Mohammad Hafeez to the crease, who found it tough to whack the balls.

He was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan while Haris Sohail walked back to the hut in quick succession. In addition to their own, the skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was hit by Imam’s straight hit, which saw him walking back with a strap on his right hand.
In the end, it was Imad Wasim, who managed to find boundaries for the team. He helped Pakistan to post runs on the board, which are not at all enough to get qualified for the semifinals.

OMG #PAKvBAN match is entering into very interesting mode. Pakistan inching towards 311+ score. They just need 30 more runs in 4 ovrs.
So their bowlers now can put effrots to all out Bangladesh on no score.— IMSachin (@Sachinshaha) July 5, 2019
