It has been a brilliant campaign for India in the ICC World Cup 2019 so far. They finished at top of the points table in the league stage and also did well in the first half of the game against New Zealand team. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir once again lowers the captaincy skills of Virat Kohli.

In an interview to TV9, Gautam Gambhir called Virat Kohli as the best skipper for India only because he got Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in the ranks. He believes that Gambhir’s real captaincy skills were exposed in IPL and credited the success to Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.

Meanwhile, it didn’t go will the fans. They lashed out at Gautam Gambhir for expressing such a poor statement on the Indian captain. Even the fans, who trolls Virat Kohli during IPL season also steps ahead to slam Gautam Gambhir.

“Virat Kohli is a good captain for India only because he has MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma behind him. If you are talking about Kohli the captain, he would have won RCB an IPL title since he has taken over the captaincy there. Most of the times his team RCB has finished on number 8,” Gambhir, who played his last competitive game last year, was quoted as saying in an interview with TV9.

In the semifinal clash, it was Kane Williamson, who won the toss, elected to bat first. Both Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been sensational for the team, as they kept on troubling the Kiwis batsman. For Kiwis, once again both openers went for a cheap score.

However, it was once again Kane Williamson, who stood in the middle to settle things in the middle. He was accompanied by Ross Taylor, who also batted decent enough in the middle.
