After the completion of the ICC World Cup 2019, England had relished the 46-day journey. In between rain had marred games, Chris Gayle had entertained one and all with his nonchalant approach, and it took boundaries to decide the ultimate World Cup winner.
Apart from the cricketing perspective, we’ve compiled the team-wise list for the prize money which all-ten teams had received from the ICC. The world governing body had also introduced incentives for the teams with a total amount of staggering $10 million for the ODI showpiece.
Also, the amount of $4 million is most received by any World Cup-winning team is highest until the twelfth edition of the World Cup.
Let’s take a look at prize money that ICC had awarded to the teams:
Afghanistan – $100,000:

Afghanistan had a miserable tournament as they had failed to win a single game at the World Cup. The lack of experience had further seen them losing some closing games against Pakistan in particular.
Overall, it would be wrong to say that it’s to be a forgettable tournament for Afghanistan.
The Gulbadin Naib-led side had their moments apart from witnessing a poor captaincy from Naib, who was introduced as a leader before the World Cup.
Also, they ran Windies close, but their efforts weren’t enough to big even just a win in the league stage fixtures. They have bagged $100,000 prize money after a poor show.
