4 Cities That Might Get An IPL Franchise In 2020; Recently, we came across the reports, which cited that the Indian Premier League is going to have two more new teams for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League.
Owners and executives of the cricket competition met in London last weekend to discuss future plans for the league and apparently decided to introduce two new franchises in 2020 before making them part of the tournament the following year.
Speaking to IANS, a senior BCCI official said that talks and all are fine, but every step needs to be calculated well and the functionaries in the board need to help the franchises understand the ground reality before taking a step in the direction.

However, the increase in the number of teams won’t be a first as 10 sides competed in the 2011 edition of the IPL with the addition of the Kochi and Pune franchises.
Contractual issues between Kochi and the BCCI meant the team could only last one season before the Sahara -owned Pune Warriors also pulled out after the 2013 edition, making it an eight-team contest again from 2014. Meanwhile, we figured out 4 Cities, who might get the nod to play IPL in the upcoming season.
4 Cities Which Might Get An IPL Team In 2020:
4. Ahmedabad:

Well, Ahmedabad could well be one of a few teams to enter into the Indian Premier League as a new baby. According to the TOI, the Adani Group is interested if a spot becomes available, after an unsuccessful attempt in 2010 to launch an Ahmedabad franchise.
They also got their own venue as well. The Motera stadium, that now has the capacity of one-lakh, will be an ideal home for an IPL franchise. A few of local stars are Jasprit Bumrah, Pandya brothers and Ravindra Jadeja.
