Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez set to ply his trade for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the upcoming edition of the Carribean Premier League. The flamboyant all-rounder is a brilliant addition to the side, as he can deliver the much-required goods with bat and ball as well.
The development has come on account of van der Dussen’s international commitments, which have rendered him as unavailable for the CPL which runs from September 4 to October 12.
Patriots have signed Hafeez in his place. Hafeez earlier played for the franchise in the 2017 CPL season, when he made 120 runs and took seven wickets.

Mohammad Hafeez will replace Van der Dussen:
This will be Hafeez’s second stint with the CPL franchise. He had been part of the squad in 2017, when the team finished runners-up, losing the final to Trinbago Knight Riders. In that season, Hafeez struck 120 runs at an average of 17.14 in nine matches and took seven wickets.
He had also played for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2013 and 2014. Overall, Hafeez has scored 412 runs in 27 CPL matches at an average of 19.61 and a strike rate of 105.37 and has taken 17 wickets at 28.41 while conceding 5.78 runs per over.

“I really enjoyed my time with the Patriots in 2017. I was very pleased to be asked to join them for the 2019 season,” said Hafeez. “The CPL is a competition which has got better every single year and it is great to be involved again after a season off. The Patriots have a really strong squad this year and I am really looking forward to joining up with the rest of the boys.”
Hafeez, who will turn 39 in October, brings to Patriots the experience of 258 T20 games from which he has scored 5413 runs and taken 162 wickets. Well, it would be interesting to see how he fares for the team. As far as the world cup is concerned, he had a decent campaign.
