The Indian skipper Virat Kohli signaled Mayank Agarwal to go for the triple hundred after the opener got to his double century. Agarwal brought his double century with a six and became the second Indian batsman after Rohit Sharma to complete 200 with a six.
As soon as Mayank Agarwal completed his second double century, he gestured two fingers towards the dressing room while celebrating the milestone. Subsequently, Kohli showed three fingers as he wanted Agarwal to go for the triple century.

Agarwal has made a brilliant start to his Test career.
Meanwhile, India has only two triple centurions in Virender Sehwag and Karun Nair. In fact, Sehwag had scored his maiden triple hundred against Pakistan whereas he had scored one more triple century against South Africa. Furthermore, Karun Nair had scored a triple century against England in 2016.
On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal is in the form of his life. The right-hander from Karnataka scored 28 fours and eight sixes in his massive knock of 243 runs. Agarwal has made good use of his feet to get to the pitch of the ball and he has connected everything whenever he has danced down the wicket.

However, Agarwal will not be able to get to his maiden triple as he was dismissed on 243 by Mehidy Hasan.
The right-hander has shown a solid technique and he also bettered his previous best of 215 which he got against South Africa. Agarwal has made a stunning start to his Test career and he would like to continue his good show going.
The right-hander is batting at the top of his game and there are hardly any chunk in his armor. Meanwhile, India is currently at 441-5 and they have a huge lead of 292 runs. India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane missed out on his well deserved century as he was dismissed on 86 runs.
