MS Dhoni‘s break from cricket has increased the speculation of when he will make a comeback in the game or will retire from the game. Former Indian cricketer Madan Lal believes that it is difficult for Dhoni to make a comeback.
The wicketkeeper-batsman has not played a match after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It has been a long time that Dhoni has been seen in the cricket field. After the mega event, he decided to join the Indian army. He spent two weeks in Jammu & Kashmir, serving for the country. Then, he went to America to spend some time with his family.
Everyone hoped that he would return in the Indian team after his vacations, but he went on to extend his break and made himself unavailable. MS Dhoni has missed all the recent home series and hasn’t answer on his return in the game. Recently, in an interview, he requested to not ask him any question of his return till January 2020.

Its MS Dhoni’s call to decide if he wants to play – Madan Lal
Madan Lal opines that Dhoni’s return in the game will be difficult if he doesn’t start playing any form of cricket. He advises the former Indian captain to play domestic cricket. Madan Lal further adds that the decision to continue his journey in cricket depends on Dhoni.

“Its Dhoni’s call to decide if he wants to play. It will be very tough to make a come in the team directly so he should start playing cricket whether it’s domestic or any other matches.”
Earlier, BCCI’s president Sourav Ganguly has said that the team management knows about the future of Dhoni in the Indian team. Chief Selector MSK Prasad has also said that the team is moving on from Dhoni and clears that their priority is to focus on Rishabh Pant and other youngsters. However, it is expected that Dhoni will be the part of the next IPL season.
