The most succesful franchise of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians (MI) has picked up Digvijay Deshmukh at the IPL2020 auction for his base price of Rs. 20 lacs. Digvijay has recently made his debut in the domestic cricket for Maharashtra this year.

However, it won’t be the first time when the 21-year-old will be seen in action on the screens. Digvijay has played the role of the 14-year-old boy Ali aspiring to be a cricketer in the Sushant Singh Rajput-starer movie Kai Po Che.

The cash-rich tournament was organized with the motive to encourage the young budding talents of the nation and give them the right exposure. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians (MI) has been one of the eight franchises from where the uncapped cricketers went on to dominate the international cricket world.
