If it is asked to pick the most talked Indian cricketer of the last year, it has to be Rishabh Pant in one place. The youngster is every time surrounded by questions related to his performance. His senior Rohit Sharma has advised Pant to create a wall around himself to ignore the illogical comments on his performance.

The 2019 year was chaotic for Rishabh Pant in terms of his performance. He got much attention after his performance in the Test series against the hosts Australia where he scored a century. He had a prolific start of 2019. But gradually he got too much attention which also affected his game.

Rohit Sharma Gives Mantra To Rishabh Pant

After the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Rishabh Pant has taken the place of MS Dhoni in the Indian limited-overs sides. Thus, the amount of expectations has increased from the 22-year-old.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma suggests Pant to creating a wall so that the voices outside not affect his game. He said that this mantra had helped him in real life.

“In fact, I was telling Pant the same thing. Poor guy is only 21 (22) and people are telling him to score hundreds in every game, do this and do that. I mean cut some slack man. I told Rishabh ‘Create a wall’ and ensure that nobody comes inside. It’s your safe-house.”

”People want to talk about you, let them do it outside that wall and you do what you intend to do inside your zone’. Who knows, it might help Rishabh. It worked for me at least,” Rohit Sharma said while speaking to PTI.

Earlier, Indian opener Rohit Sharma also clearly stated to not comment on his personal life. Especially, targeting to media, Rohit said everybody is free to comment on him but should not drag his family.
