As the Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara turns 32 today, the cricket fraternity, as well as fans, are wishing the player across social media platforms. But Pujara got the special wish from the former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag. He added a special birthday note for him on Twitter.

Known for his wit, Sehwag has always brought a laugh on the face of fans with his one-liners. Similarly, former cricketer addressed the defensive batsman with every possible nickname while lauding his batting style.

“His county mates call him Steve , some call him Pujji. But for bowlers around the world he is “ChePu“. Ek baar pitch pe aaya, toh samjho Chep ho hi gaya. What a wonderful player, unforgettable contribution in the series in Australia last year. A very Happy Birthday @cheteshwar1!”

Cheteshwar Pujara’s contribution:

In an era of counterattacking batsmen, Pujara is a rare successful defensive batsman. Sehwag has rightly mentioned him as “Chepu” in his tweet because he doesn’t tire and stands for a long period regardless of venue or opposition. His fitness has led him to be the constant performer for Team India.

Pujara’s memorable contribution came in the last year’s incredible win in the Test series against Australia in Australia. Back then, India defeated Australia in the Test series for the first team in series Down Under.
