Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has lambasted Pakistan selectors for ignoring him for the ongoing Bangladesh T20I series. He has been a constant run-scorer n the domestic circuit. However, he is yet to earn the place back in the national side.

The 38-year-old had a prolific performance in the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019-20, where he amassed a total of 906 runs in 11 matches at a stellar average of 60.40. He ended up as the second-highest run-getter in the competition. Also, in the Pakistan Super League 2019, he amassed 357 runs from 13 games.

The wicket-keeper batsman last featured with the Pakistan national cricket team in 2017 against the West Indies.

Akmal missed out from the team because of the average show. Since then he is sweating it out in the domestic fold to get the eyes of selectors.

Kamran Akmal frustrated with Pakistan selectors:

Akmal vents his frustration on selectors after the veterans Mohammed Hafeez and Shoaib Malik were called back in the national side for the Bangladesh T20I series.

Akmal expressed that his patience has been tested too much and now he wants an answer on his snub.

“I don’t lose heart but there is a limit. It’s been 5 years, you have brought a new system which will have the best quality, best talent and whoever performs will automatically be considered,” Akmal told Pakistan news channel AAP

The aggressive right-handed batsman even questioned whether he should play in India or Australia to grab the eyeballs of Pakistan selectors.

“Should I go and perform in India or Australia to be considered? I am Pakistan’s player, I have been performing for 5 years, how much should I tolerate it? Should I go to the Prime Minister and say this is my performance for 5 years?” said the veteran.

Meanwhile, Pakistan registered the victory in the first T20I match against Bangladesh by five wickets in Lahore. In the competitive game, Shoaib Malik scored unbeaten 58 runs to see the Men in Green home in the three-match T20I series.
