New Zealand veteran cricketer Ross Taylor, with ease, helped his team to chase down the huge target of 348 runs set by Team India. He pulled the game from Virat Kohli‘s men to led Black Caps–to register the victory in the first ODI match in Hamilton. Taking to Twitter, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag praised Taylor’s knock in a unique style.
Opener Martin Guptill lost his wicket early while his partner Henry Nicholls played a crucial knock of 78 runs. Nicholls set up the partnership with Kiwi skipper, Tom Latham, who scored 69 runs off 48.

Soon their partnership was broken by the spinner, Kuldeep Yadav.
However, Taylor stood tall for the team till the last ball of the game, unlike in the recently-concluded five-match T20I series.

Taylor’s kept scoring runs from his bat though the other end kept losing the wickets. Without taking the pressure, he remained unbeaten, scoring 109 runs off 84 balls. In his crucial innings, he struck 10 fours and four sixes at an average of 129.76.
Seeing Taylor’s majestic performance, Virender Sehwag took tp the Twitter to praise New Zealander’s innings. Former cricketer, who is famous for his one-liners, mentioned the right-handed batsman as the boss. He also cited the record which Taylor will break soon.

Also, Taylor was awarded as the Man of the Match in the first match. After the failure in the five-match T20I series, Kwis lead the three-match ODI series 1-0. The second game, which will be played on 8th February.
Well, it will be a do or die match for Kohli and Co.
