India and South Africa will conclude their 2019/20 international season with the three-match ODI series starting March 12 in Dharamsala. While Team India had a great run during the season, South Africa’s cricket touched lows and they now have a new team management and a new captain.

The last time South Africa played against India Down Under, the visiting team did dominate the home team but the things are different this time. Quinton de Kock is leading the team while Faf du Plessis is back in the side for the first time since World Cup 2019.

Conditions –

The cold weather should give pace bowlers an advantage during the duration of the contest. The team winning the toss might opt to bowl first.

India:

Opener Shikhar Dhawan is all set to play his first international match after two months. He suffered shoulder injury during Australia ODIs and was forced to miss the New Zealand tour. Prithvi Shaw, who made his ODI debut in New Zealand, should partner him ahead of Shubman Gill. KL Rahul should remain at number five.

Both Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will also be back in the playing XI for the opening ODI. Only one of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvednra Chahal is expected to be part of the final squad.

Since Janneman Malan wasn’t a part of the original squad, he isn’t expected to get the first go in the series. South Africa will welcome back their former captain Faf du Plessis for the first time since July 2019. The recent form of Heinrich Klaasen is a big boost for South Africa.
