T20 World Cup 2007 was the first mega event for MS Dhoni as the captain. In the whole tournament, the former Indian captain amazed everyone by his captaincy, especially with his mysterious decision to hand the last over to Joginder Sharma in the grand finale against Pakistan.

India had given the target of 157 runs to the arch-rivals. The Green Army needed 13 runs in last over and in-form batsman Misbah-ul-Haq was at the crease.

Dhoni took a courageous decision and gave the ball to pacer Joginder Sharma instead of experienced Harbhajan Singh. However, his decision at first looked inaccurate but the pacer went on to pick the most important wicket of Misbah to hand India their first T20 World Cup win in the history of cricket.

After this instance, the wicketkeeper-batsman was praised for his weird but fortunate decision.
