Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar is famous for his bold statements. This time he has lashed out on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The veteran has blamed the country’s board for not giving him a position within the board like the one Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid enjoys in BCCI.
Akhtar was once the premier bowler for the Pakistan team. His contribution to the team is unforgettable. Till now, he is counted in one of the best pacers that the cricket world has witnessed. The 44-year old is also known as Rawalpindi Express following his long run-up.

Akhtar, who made the debut for the team in 1997, retired from the game in 2011 after playing the World Cup. He has played 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is.
Shoaib Akhtar blames PCB:
Currently, Akhtar runs a YouTube channel where he has more than two million followers. He had also worked as a host with many TV channels.
However, he doesn’t seem happy with his current situation. He has targeted PCB for not giving him a respected position on the board so that he can pass on the talent he has with him.

“Ganguly is BCCI president, Dravid is heading the cricket academy. Graeme Smith heads CSA & Mark Boucher is head coach, but the opposite is happening in Pakistan. They’ve not used me, my job was not to sit on TV, they should’ve allowed me to run cricket,” Shoaib Akhtar said as quoted by the famous Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq.

Shoaib Akhtar’s career was not as smooth as it seemed. He was surrounded by different accusations during his heydays.
During his 14 year-long cricketing career, he was charged for beating up his own teammates, had courtroom battles against his board, long bans and heavier fines and serious career-threatening injuries surrounded his career.
Thus, he was somewhere ignored by the board for his attitude.
