Finally, the day was arriving when the fans were waiting to see MS Dhoni in action but the coronavirus outbreak has marred all the expectations. Fans will have to wait for more time to see the former Indian captain as the IPL has been postponed till 15th April. Earlier, the IPL was scheduled to start on 29th March.

The 38-year-old has not played a competitive match after last featuring in the semi-finals against New Zealand in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Since then, he has made himself unavailable.

The Ranchi-star has also been excluded from the new central contract of BCCI.

Thus, It had increased the speculation that the fans might not see him in Indian jersey.

While there are also statements going around that his performance in IPL will decide his inclusion in the team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which is scheduled in Australia later this in the year in October.

However, this edition of IPL is still under question because of the dangerous virus which is spreading with the speed. Amid all the danger revolving around the cancellation of IPL, the BCCI has asked the fans to keep calm.

They shared a beautiful post with MS Dhoni having a big smile and captioned ‘smile is the way to be’.

However, as soon as the BCCI posted, the fans took it differently. Commenting on the picture, Dhoni’s fan urged the board to bring him back in the Indian team.

If IPL would have gone according to the previous schedule, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings would have locked horns against Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener on March 29.
