Jaffer has named MS Dhoni as the captain of the side. The likes of AB de Villiers and Ben Stokes add more depth in the middle order. Wasim Akram leads the bowling pack that features some matchwinners. Spin legend Shane Warne and Pakistan great Saqlain Mushtaq fight for a spot in the side. West Indies pacer Joel Garner and Glenn McGrath make up for a strong bowling pack.

Wasim Jaffer picks MS Dhoni as the captain of the team
Jaffer made his first-class debut in 1996-97 and ended up scoring 19,410 runs. He mainly represented Mumbai before moving to Vidarbha at the fag end of his career. The opener made his international debut- both in Tests and ODIs against South Africa in the year 2006. The elegant batter has played 31 Tests and two ODIs for India.

He called time on his career last month at the end of the 2019-20 Ranji season. Jaffer’s admiration for Dhoni shouldn’t come as a surprise to cricket fans. The former India skipper has not featured for men in blue since the 2019 World Cup. While many experts have ruled out the possibility of a return, Jaffer firmly believes that there is no one better than Dhoni in the business.
“If Dhoni is fit and in the form I think we can’t look beyond him as he’ll be an asset behind the stumps and also lower down the order. It’ll take the pressure of keeping off Rahul and India can play Pant as a batsman too if they want a lefty,” Jaffer tweeted.
