If you were born in the 90s, and followed the dominance of Australia since then, you would know the kind of standards Ricky Ponting had set with the Australian side. He was great batsman and a fielder too, besides leading his side to World Cup glory on multiple occasions. Winning was a habit for Australia back then and Ricky Ponting would make sure he leaves no stones unturned.
He has given cricket a lot to cherish. His side was nightmare even for the finest teams competing along on the international circuit.
My favourite piece of memorabilia: Ricky Ponting

On his retirement, his wife Rianna Jennifer Cantor and Cricket Australia, gifted him the Australian baggy green that he wore throughout his Test career and the new one that he had received. It is his favourite memorabilia, though it has caught dust now, he has plenty of memories in it. Sharing a glimpse of it, Ricky Ponting, recently shared a tweet.
“This is my favourite piece of memorabilia gifted to me by Rianna and Cricket Australia when I retired. A brand new cap on the left and my pride and joy on the right, looking a bit worse for wear after about 140 odd tests,” he said in his tweet.
