Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami and Irfan Pathan praised the batting of India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma during a live chat on Instagram. They both said that there is a lot to learn from Rohit’s batting.
Having made the debut in the Indian team in 2007, Rohit got the opportunity to open the innings in 2013. His true talent came in front when he became the opener; the Mumbaikar also accepts this fact. Now, he has become a vital cog for the Indian team, whose innings decides the game scenario for India.
“Rohit Sharma is a like a poet” Irfan Pathan:

During the live session, cricketer-turned commentator Irfan Pathan said that when he is watching Rohit from the commentary box, it looks like he is a poet, who very smoothly and easily slam opposition bowlers.
“Sometimes, while I am commentating and watching Rohit Sharma play, I feel he is not a cricketer, but a poet. He bats as smooth as butter, like a poem. The bowlers don’t even realise that he is slamming, and he keeps on slamming.”
Mohammed Shami also praises Rohit:

Agreeing to Irfan, Shami said that Rohit is a pure batsman and a full package. He further said as the bowler you get to learn a lot from him.
“Exactly. I feel he is a package to learn and to show what is cricket. He is a pure batsman. If he is batting, you will get to learn a lot,” Shami added.
“He will hit bowlers, and you get to learn. If you are a batsman, you get to see how much time he has to play a shot. You will also see how to bat in different conditions. He is a next-level batsman. He is the best package.”
The hit-man played match-winning innings in 2019 World Cup. He struck five centuries in the mega event but unfortunately, could not get the teams to final.
