Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are the two great batsmen from different eras though they are compared when asked to pick the best batsman. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has ended the debate with a simple line.
Walking in the field at the age of 16 and dedicating 24 years of his life to the game, Sachin has incomparable contribution in India’s cricket history to other Indian cricketers. After Sachin’s retirement, Virat has been playing the role of the legendary cricketer. He is the best player in all the formats, averaging above 50. And now and then, the two great batsmen are compared.
Sachin Tendulkar Or Virat Kohli? Jasprit Bumrah picks one:

During the live chat with Yuvraj Singh, Bumrah had to also go through the tricky question, picking between Virat and Sachin. The Indian pacer ended the debate in a line stating that the even Indian captain believes Sachin to be the best player so he will pick up the former cricketer as the best batsman.
“Paaji ki fan toh puri duniya hai, Virat khud bhi hai toh mai paaji ka nam lunga, Sachin sir (The whole world is a fan of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat himself is his fan so I will go with Sachin Tendulkar),” Bumrah told Yuvraj.
Sachin Tendulkar is the idol of Virat Kohli:

Sachin has built a plethora of cricket records, and Virat is the only one who is close to his records. The former cricketer has the most number of ODI centuries(49) while the Indian captain has 41 ODI centuries, falling just seven short of surpassing Sachin’s record.
After the seven years of retirement, Sachin still tops the chart of having the highest number of runs in Tests and ODIs. He has 15,921 Test runs and 18,426 runs under his name. While Kohli, so far, has scored 7,240 and 11,867 runs in Tests and ODIs respectively. Thus, both Kohli and Sachin’s names are always mentioned when it comes to the debate for the best batsman of all time.
