Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has played against many great T20I batsmen like Chris Gayle, Andree Rusell, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, David Warner, and many others in the Indian Premier League. In the recent live session, he picked up the toughest batsman to bowl in the shortest format.
Ashwin has achieved great heights during the peak of his career. Currently, he is a regular feature in the Test team and has last played the white-ball cricket in 2017. He has picked up 365 wickets in Test matches, 150 wickets in ODIs, and 52 wickets in T20Is. In IPL, he has picked up 125 wickets in 139 IPL games.

Having played against almost all the big names of T20 cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin recently revealed the name of his toughest opponent. Well, the player is none other than his India and former IPL skipper MS Dhoni.
“Toughest batsman to bowl to in T20, I always rate MS Dhoni to be one of the greatest T20 batsmen, especially towards the end,” Ravichandran Ashwin said during an Instagram Live session before hailing him as captain, saying: “MSD one of the greatest captain India has ever seen, one of the greatest captains IPL has ever seen.”

Dhoni was set to play the IPL 2020, but because of the pandemic, he could not get the opportunity to play. The former Indian captain hasn’t played after the World Cup 2019. He has made himself unavailable since then and has been under sabbatical. His plan to feature in the 13th edition of the lucrative league seems to be whitewashed.
The IPL 2020 was earlier scheduled to start from 29th March with a thrilling match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. But because of the outbreak of the unprecedented virus, the event has been triggered and has been postponed indefinitely.
