Former Indian all-rounder Madan Lal heaped praise on the Indian captain Virat Kohli for strengthening India’s pace battery. The Indian fast bowlers are currently the best in the world and they can give a run for the money to the opposition batsmen. In fact, a lot of focus has been given to fitness, which has helped the fast bowlers achieve new heights.
It is also well known that Kohli likes to play with an extra seamer and he has given special importance to the pacers. Ishant Sharma has turned the tide in the last couple of years, Mohammed Shami has been right on the money whereas Jasprit Bumrah has had a great start to his Test career. The trio was at their best in Australia and helped India won by 2-1.
On the other hand, Umesh Yadav has done well in the home conditions. Furthermore, fast bowlers like Navdeep Saini have risen through the ranks as they have shown the skills to bowl above 145 km/h. There is a lot of healthy competition within the side which pushes these bowlers to be on their toes.

Virat Kohli is backing his pacers to the hilt.
In fact, it would not be wrong to say that this bowling unit is collectively the best ever India has produced in its cricketing history. Consequently, Virat Kohli has been able to reap fruits as he has got the right bowlers in his team.
Madan Lal added the trend of backing fast bowlers was started by former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar.
Madan Lal stated while speaking to sports analyst Joy Bhattacharjya for Sony Ten Pit Stop, “Kohli knows that if his pace attack is good, he has more chances of helping the team win. I think this culture of encouraging pace bowlers was started by Sunil Gavaskar. The way Virat Kohli is doing it is unbelievable. He is on the right track with the pacers. You’ve got 4 or 5 bowlers who are going to win us a lot of matches in the near future.”

Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive captaincy.
The Indian fast bowlers have taken giant strides in the recent past. There is no doubt that they are on the right track and they have taken a lot of confidence from their performance. They have savored success in almost every conditions and they are expected to only get better.
Furthermore, a lot of credit should also go to Bharat Arun, India bowling coach, who has helped these bowlers with the right track. The Indian fast bowlers have proved their mettle and they would look to continue the good form going.
