Juventus’ star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo will begin training with the first team from Tuesday after a two-month-long break from football due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic globally. Ever since football action stopped in Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo had been in Madeira, his hometown in Portugal.

Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has given Serie A clubs permission to start team training from Monday. The announcement was made by Conte during a press conference and this comes as a big boost for the restart plans of Italy”s football competition.

With the announcement being done, all clubs in Italy have breathed a sigh of relief as they were hit by the major crisis due to the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cristiano Ronaldo To Begin Training With Juventus From Tuesday

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to training on Tuesday after completing his two-week quarantine period. Ronaldo returned to Italy on May 5 and was obliged to spend 14 days in quarantine, Goal.com reported.

As the 14-day period is set to complete on Monday, the 35-year-old will join his teammates who have already returned to training. The club on May 5 announced that some of the players have started training on an individual basis.

“After a day of tests and exams carried out yesterday at J Medical, some of the Juventus players started training at the Continassa Juventus Training Center, where they officially began their recovery to regain competitive form,” the club had said in a statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on the second spot in the Serie A golden boot race with 21 goals this season. The only player ahead of him is Lazio’s Ciro Immobile who has scored 27 goals this season so far. Ronaldo’s prowess is clearly intact during the later stage of his career and he is completely in shape to be the best star globally.

His team, Juventus, are on the top of the Serie A points table so far. They have played a total of 26 games, having win 20 of them. Their 3 ties have ended in a draw and they have been on the losing end thrice this season. They are chased by Lazio on the second spot, only a point behind them in the table.
