Pat Cummins looking forward to playing IPL 2020:

An Aussie player had contacted the KKR owners for the schedule of the league. The owners had given him a positive response for organising the event this year. So, the speedster is looking forward to being part of IPL.
“Whenever I speak to the owners of the team and the staff there, they’re still really confident that it can be played at some stage this year,” Cummins told SEN on Thursday.
“I was really looking forward to playing it for many obvious reasons, hopefully it goes ahead.
IPL is a great way to resume cricket: Cummins

As T20 World Cup 2020 is also lined up later this year, Pat Cummins feels that IPL offers high-quality cricket so it can be the best platform to practice for the mega event. He also opined that the shortest format would be easy to play after being out of action for an extended period.
“It could be a great way to get back into playing cricket (after the COVID-19 stoppage). It’s T20, not as cumbersome on your body. We’ve got a big World Cup that is going to be played at some stage, so playing as much high-quality T20 cricket as we can is great.”
In March, the ODI match between Australia and New Zealand was the last match that fan witnessed. Since then, cricketers have been out of action because of coronavirus.
