Coming into the game, Timo Werner had only scored 1 goal in his last 8 outings and his prowess seemed to have faded away.
However, Timo Werner responded in style by scoring the much-awaited hat-trick. Werner’s hat-trick helped RB Leipzig capture a giant win over Mainz FC and move to the third spot in the Bundesliga points table. Leipzig are now only behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and will certainly aim to remain in the top four.
