On Tuesday, India lost the lives of 20 soldiers in India-China violent face-off at Galwan valley. For last one month, the troops of the two neighbouring countries are locked in a border standoff in Ladakh. Indian sports celebs came forward to share their condolences with the family who lost their dear ones in the clash. They also paid tribute to the brave soldiers, saying that they are real heroes.
It is the first deadly clash in the India-China border area in at least 45 years. India’s external affairs ministry accused China of breaking an agreement struck the previous week to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was confirmed that three soldiers had lost their lives. But later in the day, the Army officially released the statement and said that 17 soldiers injured in the line of duty” succumbed to their injuries, taking the “total that were killed in action to 20”.
However, China did not confirm any casualties but accused India in turn of crossing the border onto the Chinese side.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma pay tribute to martyred soldiers in Galwan Valley:

“Salute and deepest respect to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our country in the Galwan Valley. NO one is more selfless and brave than a soldier. Sincere condolences to the families. I hope they find peace through our prayers at this difficult time,” Kohli wrote on his twitter page.

China had asked all its citizens to leave India few weeks back. The killing of our soldiers in LAC was a I think a planned one. We completely condemn this cowardly act of China. Indian Govt should take strong necessary action and not bow down to Chinese aggression pic.twitter.com/PToDa61mLv
