England pacer James Anderson will address the media on Monday (August 10), with growing speculations over his retirement. The veteran b0wler has only managed to take six wickets in the last three Test matches and might be rested in the next match against Pakistan in Southampton.
The 38-year-old pacer is very close to the 600-wicket mark in Test cricket but lately has struggled to pick wickets. He is celebrated as the highest wicket-taker for England in Test cricket — and also the first pacer to reach 500 Test wickets for England.
England are playing Pakistan in a three-match Test series leading them by 1-0. The first match at Manchester was won by England owing to an an epic comeback.

According to Daily Mail, it is reported that due to questioning on his form and retirement speculations — he is going to address the media on Monday.
In the last series against West Indies he managed to pick three wickets in the first test, he was dropped for the next test. In the final match, he returned bagging just two wickets. In the current series against Pakistan, he managed only one wicket in the first match and is most likely to be dropped for the second.

England have called up Sussex seamer Ollie Robinson to their bio-secure bubble in Southampton. Robinson is likely to replace Anderson for the second Test.
Ben Stokes Won’t Be Playing The Rest Of Test Series Against Pakistan Due To Family Reasons
Ben Stokes will travel back to New Zealand because of family reasons and won’t be a part of the team in the remaining two Test matches against Pakistan. The all-rounder only managed to score nine runs and took two wickets in the two innings of the first match.

The England Cricket board said in a statement: “The England and Wales Cricket Board, along with the Stokes family, requests that all media respects the family’s privacy at this time.”
