Virat Kohli was all smiling while gearing up during training season ahead of IPL 2020 as his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) looks to end their Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy drought. He is also captain of the Indian team and shared a picture on his Instagram story as he is active on social media platforms besides sharing photos and videos with his fans.

Virat Kohli was seen giving thumbs up seemingly happy with the training session before the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates which will fully be in UAE for the first time.

In 2009 IPL was played in South Africa, while in 2014 IPL was jointly hosted by UAE and India due to elections. But this time due to coronavirus pandemic also known as covid-19 giving rise to restrictions and lockdowns in several states has given BCCI no option but to move IPL outside the country.

Virat Kohli Says That Good Training Sessions Make Him Happier

The right-handed batsman wrote on Instagram that good training sessions make him happier as RCB will look to end their IPL jinx. He had shared a video on Instagram with his wife Anushka Sharma in which the couple was seen taking a quiz. The couple was laughing while answering questions about each other’s professions. The 31-year-old took on social media to wish fans on India’s Independence Day on 15th August.

Virat Kohli who is the captain of RCB since 2013 is yet to have hands-on with the coveted trophy despite being the runners-up in 2016 when they lost in the finals to Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had an exceptional season in 2016 scoring 973 runs at an average of 81.08 and strike rate of 152.03.

Virat Kohli Is Also Highest Run Scorer In IPL History

Virat Kohli is also the highest run-scorer since making his debut in the inaugural year in 2008. He has scored 5412 runs from 177 matches averaging 37.84 and a strike rate of 131.61 with 5 centuries which show his batting prowess in the franchise-based league.

IPL 2020 starts on September 19 and commences on November 10 and will be played in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai – three cities of UAE.
