Every IPL fan is eager to see MS Dhoni in the cricket field after a long break. He went under sabbatical after last playing for India in the World Cup 2019 disheartening semi-final against New Zealand. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 50 runs in that marquee clash but failed to lead the team across the line after getting run-out.

Without a farewell match, the great showman called his time on his Team India duties. Although he would not be seen again in the blue jersey, Dhoni’s hard-hitting batting and astute wicketkeeping will still be witnessed in IPL.

Many are of the view that the former Indian captain might also retire from all form of cricketer after featuring in the much-awaited IPL edition. However, Dhoni’s plans are unpredictable.

Meanwhile, CSK will be playing IPL 2020 without the two veterans Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh. Both of them have pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons. It would be interesting to see how MS Dhoni fills the void after the two seasoned players have backed from this edition.
