Former England star batsman and commentator Kevin Pietersen are hoping for Delhi Capitals to win IPL 2020. Pietersen played for Delhi Daredevils from 2012-2014 and still wishes the best for his former side. He is a part of the IPL 2020 commentary team and has reached UAE.
The 40 year old was also commentating in the recently concluded England vs Australia T20I. He announced he had arrived in Dubai today on his Instagram. The Indian Premier League will be played in UAE amid the Coronavirus pandemic, from September 19 to November 10, amid COVID-19 protocols laid down by the ICC and BCCI.

KP still has a soft corner for Delhi which he made clear by telling he hopes Delhi win the IPL 2020. On reaching Dubai for his broadcasting services for IPL 2020, he posted a picture on Instagram announcing his arrival. Pietersen also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL.
He captioned his Instagram post as “From a bubble in the UK to a bubble in Dubai…! I love that we have cricket back and as always very excited about working on the @iplt20. Who’s winning? I hope Delhi.”
Kevin Pietersen will now enter the mandatory quarantine. According to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) the players and the support staff need quarantine for six days on reaching UAE and go through three COVID-19 tests resulting negative, only then can enter the IPL bio bubble.
Delhi Capitals eye their first IPL title
DC are one of the three sides to have never won the IPL. Moreover, they have never even made it to the finals. They finished at the third spot last season. DC have quite some squad depth this season to go for the extra mile with new additions like Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Marcus Stoinis, who have bolstered their lineup as an all-rounder.

The IPL 2020 will be played between September 19 and November 10. The venue this time is UAE and matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah respectively.
