Mumbai Indians’ allrounder Hardik Pandya has accepted the fact that injuries will be part of his journey in the game of cricket. He believes that injuries help him to motivate himself to do better.
The promising Hardik Pandya sustained a back injury ahead of the Test series against South Africa last year in August. Subsequently, he went under back surgery which led his ouster from the game for around four months. During which, he also served the rehabilitation period in National Cricket Academy (NCA).

The allrounder’s name was included in the India A squad list for the New Zealand tour earlier this year but was removed later citing him as unfit.
Pandya was set to make comeback in international cricket with the series against South Africa in March this year but the outbreak of coronavirus further delayed his plan. However, finally, he will play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Talking in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya said that he has realised that injuries will be part and parcel of his life. But he has learned from them to work harder and make a comeback.
“In my life, I have realized one thing that injuries would be with me. No one wants to get injured but I accept the fact that what I do, injuries will be a part.
“Injuries have always kept me going, always kept me motivated, actually taught me how much I have to put hard yards and the hard work has always increased, never decreased,” Pandya said.
The fitness help you to upgrade skill level: Hardik Pandya

Being in the lockdown period for months, Hardik Pandya, with his elder brother Krunal Pandya, worked on his fitness while gyming at his home. He opined that maintaining fitness also helps the player to increase the skill level because then his body is capable of doing more things.
“Luckily, me and Krunal had the privilege of having a gym at home, so because of that portion, we were able to focus on our fitness, which I have always believed that if you become much fitter than what you are previously I think you can increase your skill level and adapt to lots of things which you have never seen before.
“I have always felt that if you go one step ahead in your fitness, there are many more magical moments in your life waiting,” he added.
Hardik Pandya also became the father last month after being blessed with a baby boy. He will play the sixth season for four-time IPL winners as the league is scheduled to begin from 19th September.
