Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to play the three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on September 25 (Friday). The two teams are going to face for the first time in the 13th edition of the league.
Delhi Capitals led by Shreyas Iyer would enter the field with more confidence against CSK as they won the last match after defeating Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). They had snatched the victory from KXIP after winning the super over.
The match had tied albeit Mayank Agarwal’s brilliance. Finally, in the one-over eliminator, DC won the match after chasing three runs target. Their not giving up attitude guided them to win the match.
Also, they would be more confident than CSK, who had lost their last match against RR. Here, we have discussed DC predicted XI:
IPL 2020: DC predicted XI against CSK
Opening pair: Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan

In the last match against KXIP, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan could not score runs for the team. The youngster Prithvi Shaw had cheaply given his wicket while trying to hit hard. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan was run out while running for a single.
But Dhawan and Shaw are the best left and right-hand batsman combination and also one of the best-attacking batsmen. The team would expect them to give a better start against the experienced CSK team.
Middle Order line-up for DC predicted XI: Shimron Hetmyer, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant

Shimron Hetmyer is returning to the field after a long time. In the last match, he scored only seven runs but the DC head coach would back him, seeing his potential. He is also the attacking batsman but the no.3 batting position demands him to be patient and build partnerships.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant form the core of DC’s batting order. The captain had stitched 73 runs partnership with Rishabh Pant to stabilise the innings when the team lost consecutive wickets of the top order.
They will continue their role of batting at number four and number five considering DC predicted XI for CSK clash.
All-rounders for DC predicted XI: Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin

Marcus Stoinis was the star performer for DC in the last match. He scored a quick half-century to lead the team’s target above 150. Also, with the ball, he picked two wickets in the last over of the match and lead the game to super over. His overall contribution will be crucial for DC this season who eye to win their maiden IPL title.
The spinner Axar Patel was the most economical bowler against KXIP. He snared one wicket at the economy rate of 3.50 in his four-over quota. So, he will be in the DC predicted XI.
But Ravichandra Ashwin’s inclusion is under doubt because he sustained an injury in hand.
Although after the match he had said that the injury is not bad and hinted he might be back in the next game. Amit Mishra might be given chance in the playing XI if Ashwin didn’t recover.
Bowlers: Kagiso Radaba and Anrich Nortje

The pacer Kagiso Rabada is the most precious gem of Delhi Capitals. He again with his prolific bowling in super over guided the team to unbelievable victory.
As Ishant Sharma is also recovering from injury DC had cleared that they won’t rush him back in the action. So, Anrich Nortje, who played the first match, will be in the DC predicted XI.
