Bhuvneshwar Kumar will not feature in the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 matches for SunRisers Hyderabad after sustaining an injury. The Andra Pradesh player Prithvi Raj Yarra has been announced the replacement of the youngster.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar suffered the injury during the match against Chennai Super Kings. After bowing the first ball of the 19th over of CSK’s innings, he was limping off and physio attended him following which he walked away from the ground.
He played four matches for SRH and picked up three wickets at the economy rate of 6.98. The pacer’s ouster from the team is surely a massive blow for the team who are already struggling with their batting line up.
Prithvi Raj Yarra will replace Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

The 22-year-old left-arm pacer from Andhra Pradesh will replace Bhuvneshwar Kumar although SRH has already many options in their squad. The youngster made the debut for KKR last season but was realized ahead of the IPL 2020 auction this year. Incidentally, he played the IPL debut match against SRH.
Prithvi Raj is an inexperienced player. He has played only 11 First-Class matches, 9 List A, 3 T20s. If he gets the opportunity in playing XI, the fast bowler will look to give an impressive performance to maintain the spot.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is not new to injuries. Last year, as well, he was in and out of the national team because of injury. Well, National Cricket Academy was blamed for his extended injury break because they were not able to spot the injury.
Finally, earlier this year, he went under surgery and recovered from a sports hernia. But now, the Indian pacer has resurfaced with another hip injury.
If Bhuvneshwar Kumar doesn’t recover on time, he might also miss India tour of Australia later this year. India is set to play bilateral series across all the formats after the completion of IPL 2020.
